Here is how lab billing works. The blood draw and specimen collection may be part of your office visit, but the laboratory processing and analysis is billed separately through your insurance by the reference laboratory. What to Expect During Your Blood Draw

A blood draw is quick and straightforward. A trained member of our team cleans the inside of your elbow, applies a tourniquet, and draws the needed vials with a small needle. The entire process usually takes less than five minutes. You may feel a brief pinch. Mild bruising at the site is normal.
