Before your appointment, you will get a link for a secure video visit. Any smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone works. No special software required. A few tips for a smooth visit:

• Test your camera and microphone beforehand
• Have your medication bottles nearby in case we need to verify dosages
• Write down your questions and symptoms so nothing is forgotten

Insurance Coverage for Telehealth

Most major insurance plans cover telehealth visits at the same rate as in-person appointments. Medicare and most Michigan Medicaid plans also cover virtual visits. Your copay is typically the same as an in-office visit.

If we order lab work or testing during your telehealth visit, that work is billed separately through your insurance when completed at a lab or our office.
